English Sparking Wine pressed from a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes grown in Kent and Sussex and aged for a minimum of three years. The distinct microclimate and soil deliver bright aromas of pear, white peach, honeyed orchard fruits and citrus.
This English Sparkling Wine is perfect for your celebrations from first toast through to pudding.
“Zesty yet rich and deliciously moreish.”
Their vineyards are the core of everything they do at Gusbourne, who use predominantly Burgundian clones to grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, the three classic sparkling wine varieties. Though the clones yield smaller volumes, the fruit is riper and intensely flavoured, a product of the distinct terroir and exceptionally mild microclimates.
Gusbourne works with the land to encourage biodiversity through complementary planting and sustainable practices. Chief Vineyard Manager Jon Pollard champions a low intervention approach to vineyard management, with only the best quality fruit harvested, and all hand-picked by a skilled vineyard team.
In the cellar, bottles are hand-stacked to gently begin the lees ageing process. Then, after disgorgement, our wines undergo extended ageing to gain even more character.
Gusbourne Founder Andrew Weeber says: “Making exceptional wine takes craftsmanship, respect for nature… and uncompromising attention to detail.”
